What you need to know about Invisalign orthodontic treatment

Invisalign appliances, called aligners, are clear plastic and virtually unnoticeable to the people around you. But that’s not the only advantage to Invisalign when compared to traditional braces. Your Invisalign treatment begins with a full mouth 3D iTero scan, which is then used to create your case of custom aligners. Dr. Carlson will then work up your case to determine the length and level of  Invisalign needed. Each set of aligners is to be worn for two weeks. Every two weeks you switch to a new set of aligners, as your teeth gradually move into position. The entire Invisalign treatment typically takes nine to eighteen months.
